Status: I’m learning Korean and my motivation is to know more about North Korea. I hope someday I could have the opportunity to visit the country and obtain an authentic taste of it by myself. Therefore learning Korean is the pre-requisite ;) never really been into any k-pop or k-drama though XD hope the idea could last longer

I was brought up by a traditional Chinese family in the city of Shanghai, China.

I’ve spent 20 years in Shanghai, 1 year in Kobe (Japan) as an exchange student, and now 1 year in Edinburgh (UK) pursuing my Master degree.

My undergraduate was in Japanese language and literature, which brought me to Japan and more broadly, East Asia. I treasure the bond bringing up the countries in East Asia together, namely China, Japan and Korea.

Meanwhile, some part of my mind is unavoidably westernised. I embrace individualism, by which I believe makes everyone unique.

My academic interest lies in artificial intelligence, especially natural language processing (NLP). Exploring the ambiguity and uncertainty in this field has become one of my main motivation for living.

During my spare time, I hang out the city with my camera. Everything is worth recording. I used to play the piano, but now am also a beginner of ukelele.
